WAKAME

Wakame is an edible seaweed (Undaria pinnatifida (Harvey) Suringar).

Wakame algae contain all micronutrients and minerals of seawater in easily digestible form. Seaweeds are a source of vitamins (A, B, C, E, K, PP), minerals (calcium, iron, iodine, sodium, copper, zinc, cobalt), highly absorbable protein and dietary fiber. They are used as an addition to soups, bouillons, salads, sauces, pasta, vegetarian dishes, especially from legumes. The compounds contained in algae remove toxins, regulate the body's water balance, antithrombotic, antibacterial and antiatherogenic effects.
